The primary aim of this collaborative, multilingual project is to help raise the profile of Yukatek Maya and other indigenous languages in the Western Hemisphere.

The videos you see on the homepage are only the beginning! If you would like to read Maya-language transcriptions and Spanish/English translations of these and other stories, please click on the "Tsikbalo'ob/Stories" link here or on the link above, where you will find an index of the stories we have completed to date. We plan on adding more stories every six months. There are also pictures of us working drawn from our Flickr feed.

The "Animation" link is where you will find works of oral Maya literature that have been animated. The first of these is the story about the squirrel, and another is currently in production!
